The Sepang International Circuit’s Welcome Centre was transformed into a party central as Heineken’s Thirst event took place on December 4.

Celebrating the best in cutting-edge electronic dance music, the event was also the venue for the debut of the Godskitchen Boombox, an ultramodern architecturally-designed stage boasting a state-of-the-art sound and lighting rig, hailed as the must-see music marvel of 2010.

Designed by Parisian design collective Exyzt, famed for their structural arts and design installations around Europe, the Boombox is a high concept performance zone standing at 8 meters high and 16 meters across. It combines 3D graphics projection technology and real time footage to create a uniquely immersive optical show and the ultimate raving experience.

With some of the world’s top DJs and producers such as Sander Van Doorn, Richard Durand, DJ Chuckie, DJ Goldfish and Blink and DJ Joey G and Ian Ross, the event proved to be a hit, with more than 6,000 party-goers dancing the night away.

Heineken Thirst had also launched the Found @ Thirst, a DJ talent search where the first prize winner claims a spot to play in the Godskitchen Boombox at Thirst. There was also RM10,000 cash, a return trip for 2 to an international music festival and Pioneer pro DJ equipment.
