Sepang International Circuit (SIC) is safe from the H1N1 threat according to SIC Chief Executive Officer Razlan Razali.

“We have checked with the Ministry Of Health and so far there are no specific requirements for us,” explained Razlan.

“However if they do issue a requirement for us to follow we will be obliged to comply.

So far the Ministry Of Health have only issued general precautionary reminders like wash your hands often and try to stay away from people who are coughing or suffering from flu like symptoms.”

He added that SIC is making sure the restrooms are stocked with soap and maintained by the cleaning crew more frequently.

“At the end of the day it our duty as a citizen and humankind to make sure we take care of ourselves and turn yourself in for checking if you feel that you have the symptoms.”

33 teams from GT300 and GT500 class will be blazing around the circuit for 54 laps on Sunday 21 June in the Super GT event.

There will also be supporting races from Formula V6 Asia, GT3 Asia and Aston Martin Cup Asia.

In between races motorsports fans will also be treated with off track entertainment with appearances of the race queens Sana and Nana and the other race queens accompanying the teams.

On top of that, there will also be drift demos, GT look-a-like cars on display and performance by Dragon Red.

There will be three Pit Walkabout where you can get up close to the cars and teams in the pit, two on Saturday at 8am and the second one at 1.30pm and on Sunday at 12.40pm. Passes are priced at RM100.

If getting up close at the Pit Walkabout is not enough fans can catch the Circuit Safari where you’ll be driven in between the Super GT cars while they practice on the circuit. Limited number of seats so book one now for RM100.

Parents with children can bring their kids for the Kids Pit Walk programme on Saturday after the second qualifying session at 6pm for free.

Visitors can also get their hands on merchandises like tshirts and caps, available on the race weekend at the various booth

Tickets of the Main Grandstand can be purchase at only RM100. SIC is also offering a special family package at RM250 for four Main Grandstand ticket. Free admission for children seven-years-old and below.

Parking charges for bikes at RM2, cars at RM5 and bus at RM20.
