Organised a part of a day-long MotoGP Final Roadshow programme at the stadium’s parking area, the stunt show would form the closing part of the programme from 5pm to 7pm.
“It will be a first for Malaysian fans … seeing is believing and I would personally recommend for biking fans to come tomorrow to see Humberto in action. Some who has seen it on youtube will agree that it is simply sensational,” says Ismadi Ishak, the project manager for the 2008 Polini Malaysian Grand Prix.
Apart from the demonstration by Humberto, fans would also get to see the local talents as well in the field of stunt riding in a special competition organized those attending the roadshow.
Ismadi, who is also Sepang International Circuit (SIC) Sales Manager said, there would a host of other activities including a special appearance by Malaysia’s top comedian Nabil, sales of racing merchandise and accessories; and loads of entertainment.
“It’s going to be one great event,” said Ismadi, adding SIC is targeting some 70,000 spectators over the race next weekend. The 2008 Polini Malaysian Motorcycle Grand Prix is the penultimate round of the world championship to be held from October 17 to 19.
Race tickets would be on sale as well for fans and ticket purchases would be entitled to special lucky draws which offers a Kawasaki 250 as the main prize as well as three other bikes, merchandise and lots of lucrative prizes.
“All these activities would be happening at the Mall Area during the weekend. There plenty of things to enjoy while catching the world’s biggest motorcycling event at the world’s most beautiful circuit,” added Ismadi.
The event in Sepang, which would also include the final round of the Malaysian Super Series, would kick off with the official free practice on Friday, October 17. Qualifying would be held on the following day on Saturday with the race for all classes to be run on Sunday.
Entry is free at the Main Grandstand on Friday while tickets for Saturday and Sunday for both days are priced at RM80 for the Main Grandstand and RM30 for the K1 Grandstand. Paddock passes at the VIP Hospitality Village, which included food and beverage, are priced at RM2,000.
