Boy Wong to Make Waves Alone
THREE-TIME Malaysian Super Series SuperSixteen champions Wong Yew Choong is all set to do it one more time this season.

However, unlike the previous years in which he was driving for team Type R, this year, Yew Choong or Boy Wong to many, will be doing it on his own.

"The team pulled the plug but that can not take the racing out of me. It would be slightly difficult to be running as a privateer but I will do my best to keep up the challenge," said Yew Choong.

Yew Choong dominated the series in his Honda Civic EK machine last season beating his closes rival Ian Lee by 66 points.

"The challenge this year is going to be tougher than I expect but I guess that is racing and everyone would now want to capitalise on me entering as a privateer," said Yew Choong.

Boy Wong has send out a clear warning to his rivals; declaring that he has set a target of winning the Supersixteen title by the penultimate Round 1 and that he was optimistic of achieving that this season.

Started in 2002 as an effort by Sepang International Circuit (SIC) to promote motorsports; by providing a platform for local driver to have more competitive racing. Effectively, the national championship for track racing, MSS gathers the best of Malaysian drivers pitting them against the top international racers from as far as Australia and Sri Lanka.

A total of three series will be racing this weekend which will be held concurrently with the bike competition.

Besides, the SuperSixteen category, the other three races are the Classic car and the Asian Touring Car Series.

Parking fee for cars are priced at RM5 per unit and RM2 for every motorbike.
