Win Prizes and Gifts at F1 Roadshow in Melaka this Weekend

The 2008 Formula One Roadshows kicks off in Melaka this weekend, offering prizes and gifts to fans including F1 merchandise and Main Grandstand tickets and F1 merchandise to catch the 2008 Formula One Petronas Malaysian Grand Prix live at Sepang Circuit from March 21 to 23.

Jointly organized by Sepang International Circuit (SIC) and Petronas, the roadshow in Melaka would be held at Mahkota Parade Shopping Complex for three days beginning Friday (January 25) before proceeding to Johor, Penang, Selangor and the Klang Valley the spread the F1 fever.

“There would be plenty of games, prizes to be won and goodies to be given away for the fans. There will be a special playground for children. It’s indeed an event for the whole family to enjoy and relax,” says SIC General Manager Datuk Azmi Murad.

Azmi, who is the event director for the 2008 Formula One Petronas Malaysian Grand Prix, said the F1 roadshows this year would have new attractions for the fans apart from the children playground and display of the 2007 BMW Sauber F1 race car.   

“We’ll have the GP Café which will have a truly F1 atmosphere, a Paddock Club kiosk to promote the F1 paddock club and F1 simulation games for fans to show off their skills,” said Azmi, adding that the roadshows would be educational as well as they would also have informative kiosks, providing the latest information on the circuit and the F1 world championship.

Slotted as the second round of the 2008 Formula One World Championship, the 2008 Petronas Malaysian Grand Prix marked the 10th edition of the Malaysian GP and SIC is targeting its biggest spectators’ turnout of 125,000 fans.

Fans could also purchase tickets at the roadshows and purchases of tickets would entitle buyers to get free gifts – limited edition 2008 PMGP caps and T-shirts.
