Supercar Club Hong Kong and Motorsport Asia have released the entry list for the opening Event of the newly renamed GT3 Asia 2009. The Championship is set to begin this weekend at the most prestigious  circuit in China, the Shanghai International Circuit.

Twenty-Nine cars have so far signed up for the full season with more expected, but only 20 will compete for the first two rounds this weekend.

The Championship brings together the most expensive grid of Supercars ever seen in Asia with Ferrari, Lambourghini, Porsche and Aston Martin all being represented.

For the opening rounds, spectators will get a chance to see eight Lamborghini Gallardo GT3’s, five Porsche 997 GT3 Cup cars, including the limited edition Cup S, four Ferrari F430 GT3’s, one each of Ferrari 360 Challenge, Porsche 996 GT3 Cup and Aston Marin DBRS9 driven by drivers from Canada, Hong Kong, Malaysia and Singapore.
